The Isle of Iona, Scotland

Sparkling Hebridean sea, wild beaches and panoramic island vistas

During my first visit to Iona, off the West Coast of Scotland, in 2010, I was struck by the quality of light on the sea, and the sparkle it created. I also felt the deep, peaceful nature of the island. However, St Columba’s bay is definitely wilder, and we had to find shelter in a rock cave during a sudden storm during filming
